A lack of sleep and internet access didn’t stop us from getting out and exploring the amazing cafes and street art dotted all over George Town. The heat and humidity did slow us down a bit though.
I was unfortunately confined to the bedroom for most of our time in Khao Lak. We still managed to explore the incredible Surin Islands, enjoy some mojitos and witness a beautiful sunset.
We had a slightly alternative Christmas hiking up a precarious rock, swimming in a fresh water lake and exploring caves in Khao Sok National Park.
We fell in love with Thailand all over again as we adjusted to the much slower pace of island life. Eventually venturing out for a spot of snorkelling, cave climbing and kayaking before trying our best to stay upright on a scooter.
After a second sleepless night we ventured out to explore the Gardens by the Bay and finished the trip off nicely with Singapore Slings at Raffles.
Having barely slept a wink, we kicked off our 48 hours in Singapore by visiting Kong Sen Road and The Botanical Gardens.
We got to swim with dozens of dolphins, visit and uninhabited sandbank and relax on a beautiful beach on a local island during our time in the Maldives.
As our time in Sri Lanka comes to a close we spent a few days on the beach snorkelling with turtles and trying our best to surf.
We visited Sri Lanka’s second largest city and spent time exploring the botanical gardens and Sigiriya rock.
Shortly after arriving in Sri Lanka we found ourselves taking one of the worlds most scenic train rides.
